One house. Hosted by the people who own it.

Not a collection, not a management company — a single home on the Delaware Bay that we look after ourselves.

We wanted somewhere that made you exhale.

[Laura — this is your story and it should be in your own words. A few prompts, based on what you've already told us:] [How you found Slaughter Beach, and why here instead of Rehoboth or Lewes.] [What the house was before, and what you changed. You've described it as bigger, more luxurious, less beachy and more serene and upscale than anything else nearby — that contrast is the story.] [The first time you watched the sun rise over the bay from the deck, or set behind the saltmarsh. Guests respond to that moment more than to any list of amenities.] [Who you hope comes here — you've said it's both the group around the ten-seat table and the person who comes alone to write.] Two or three paragraphs is plenty. It doesn't need to be polished. It needs to sound like you.

Renovated with one question in mind.

Every decision in the renovation came back to the same thing: does this help someone slow down? That's why the dining table seats ten instead of six. Why there's a coffee bar so early risers don't wake the house. Why the reading nook is stocked, why the sunroom has a fireplace, and why the wall of windows across the back is the first thing you see when the front door opens. It's also why there's no boardwalk, no rows of umbrellas and no crowd competing for space — and why we wouldn't change that.

You'll be dealing with us directly.

When you book here, your questions come to the owner, not a call center or a platform inbox. If you want a recommendation, want to know whether the hot tub is warm, or want to ask something before you commit, just ask. We would rather answer ten questions before a booking than have anyone arrive expecting something different. [Laura to add: your preferred contact — email address, phone if you want it public, and a realistic response time.]
