Wake before everyone else and carry your coffee onto the covered balcony. The bay is still. Birds move across the marsh. The sky slowly changes color as the sun rises over the water.

Later, walk down to the beach. Look for horseshoe crabs along the shoreline. Watch ospreys overhead. You may spot foxes, rabbits, turtles or migrating birds. There is always something moving here, but somehow the place itself feels completely still.
And when evening comes, you get to choose your view.
On one side of the house, the Delaware Bay stretches out in front of you. On the other, the sun drops behind the Marvel Saltmarsh Preserve, casting the wetlands in that golden light that makes everyone stop talking for a minute.
